The Old Pecan Street Festival - Spring 09

This is a straight on view of my booth May 2-3rd at the Old Pecan Street Festival, Downtown Austin, Texas. It was the best show ever and I really had a great time. So many people made nice comments about my products and booth – I am grateful for all the feedback. Thanks to all my friends who were able to swing by to say hi and to my community, I had a great weekend.
Or as they say in Texas. "A very large weekend!"

Inside the booth - It's all about color!

Check out my new line of  12 Colorful Flower Cards. They come in variety 12 packs and are 4.5" x 6.25. (One dozen flowers)
They were a really big hit at the show, especially because at the shows, everything is cheaper than if you buy it online.

1st Annual Bastrop Fine Arts Gala

This is the first annual Bastrop Fine Artist's Gala held at one of the members home. It was a beautiful setting and a sunshine day. This day held a silent auction and regular bidding auction in order to raise funds for the Guild. All members had a chance to submit work for the live auction and chose only a select few. Others could participate in the silent auction if not chosen. I would have to say the people in charge did a wonderful job on the set up. There were tables throughout the lawn with areas of food and wine. They even had servers and two ladies playing soft music. And in the back were additional pieces inside the guest house. The items that auctioned off seem to go high and people were in the bidding war. What made it was the auctioneer for this event, who knew how to get the people interested in the art and made some slight humor that made people actually laugh. Good job Guild Members!

Artist's Guild Show - Sat. April 3

That particular weekend it was nasty weather for most of the U.S., including Texas. A huge cold front went through and chilled the area. It was a cold, dreary, rainy, yucky day. In fact, the pictures show hail coming down outside the BBQ place where we got food for the show. We thought the worst as far as people attending. The night started out right, quiet but then people kept on showing up. I would say there was an estimate of 25 people. Alan seems to have lots of support from his friends and guild members. All and all a great show.
